* As part of our "we aim to please" commitment, have added the ability to ↵MW2007-08-281-10/+23
| | | | create a user in one command line: "create user firstname secondname passwrd regionX regionY". This allows the use of the "command-script" feature. So to add a bunch of new accounts, just create a text file, and add a line as above for each account. Then in the opensim console, type: "command-script filename".
* Start of trying to make Region/Scene more modular. MW2007-08-281-2/+2
| | | | | | | | | Added preliminary IRegionModule interface. Also have a work in progress way of Modules registering optional API methods (kind of like Apache optional functions). But there must be a cleaner/nicer way in c# of doing these than the current way. Added three work in progress modules: ChatModule (simple handles in world chat, but by moving this to a module, we could support other types of chat modules, ie like a irc - opensim bridge module. ) , AvatarProfilesModule and XferModule. Moved most of the code from Scene.ModifyTerrain() into the BasicTerrain library, as the start of trying to make that more modular. Stopped Child agents showing up as part of the "show users" command.
* Set some default values for "create user" in case anyone just pressing ↵MW2007-08-241-4/+4
| | | | return as the answer to some of the settings.
* Now also enabled Inventory persistence in standalone mode when account ↵MW2007-08-241-0/+4
| | | | Authentication is turned off.
* Hopefully fixed the issue of inventory not working for the master account. ↵MW2007-08-241-0/+4
| | | | (Note you will need to delete userprofile.yap for this to take effect.)
* Instant Messages between users in the same region should actually now work.MW2007-08-201-1/+1
|
* Taking Prims (SceneObjectGroups) in and out of inventory should now work and ↵MW2007-08-161-0/+5
| | | | if left in inventory will still be there after restarts. (as with the rest of inventory it will only fully work in standalone mode with account authentication turned on).
* Can now set the plugins for standalone mode's Inventory database (default ↵MW2007-08-161-4/+29
| | | | sqlite) and for its user database (default DB4o). Currently changing the user plugin to MySql should work (if you have MySql setup (should be same as for grid mode). There is also a MySql provider for the inventory but not 100% certain if that is finished and functional (will need to check with Adam on that).
* More work on inventory, can now create other inventory types, like Clothes ↵MW2007-08-152-0/+5
| | | | and body parts. [Note while you can edit these, at the moment your changes won't be saved between restarts. This will be fixed very soon.]
* Temporary fix for the region crossing crash, Although we need to start to ↵MW2007-08-151-1/+0
| | | | change and improve how we handle caps.
* Start of inventory items, when you upload a texture the data will now be ↵MW2007-08-141-0/+11
| | | | | | | stored in the inventory database and you will still have that texture in inventory on later logins (Again only in standalone mode with authentication.) Also there might be some problems if you upload textures in other regions to the start one (due to us not updating the CAPS url properly).
* More inventory work, should be able to now create new inventory folders and ↵MW2007-08-141-0/+5
| | | | | | | them be stored in database (so are there on next login). Again only works in standalone mode with Account/password authentication turned on. [Creating new inventory items should be working very soon.] The test is to make sure that it hasn't broke grid mode at all.
* Start of Inventory service, currently only (partially) functional in ↵MW2007-08-143-1/+116
| | | | | | | | standalone mode and using sqlite). In standalone mode, if you have account authenticate turned on (setting in opensim.ini) then when you create a new account, a set of inventory is created for that account and stored in database (currently only a set of empty folders). Then during login the database is search for that set and sent to the client in the login response. More functions will be added soon, like creating new folders (and a bit later items) from the client inventory window.

* Separated Login Service from usermanager, which helps to clean up the code a ↵MW2007-08-132-105/+10
| | | | bit and also should help to integrate the inventory server (when it is wrote/finished).
* The Welcome message /message of the day shown in the client during login, ↵MW2007-08-132-10/+19
| | | | can now be set from the .INI file for standalone mode (change the standalone_welcome = "Welcome to OpenSim" line).
* Added a new column (SceneGroupID) to sqlite3 table (sqlite3-prims.sql) so ↵MW2007-08-111-1/+1
| | | | that we can tell what prims belong to the same SceneObjectGroup. If sdague has a different method in mind when he gets back then he can change it then.
* Made account Authentication optional in "sandbox/standalone" mode. Just ↵MW2007-08-112-6/+49
| | | | change "standalone_authenticate = false" to be true in OpenSim.ini. Then as per grid mode, you can use the "create user" command to create new accounts.
* * SimpleApp works again:lbsa712007-08-061-2/+2
| | | | | | | | | | | * NetworkServersInfo settable without config file * DefaultHomeLoc throws if getted before setted * Removed nonsensical sandbox distinction * Refactored default config file creation * Some more small refactorings on shapes
* Some more work on SceneObject/primitive rewrites (AllNewSceneObjectGroup2 ↵MW2007-08-011-0/+1
| | | | | | | | /Part2). Updated the JavaVM to a later version I did (basically some clean up and a little bit more functional). Added SendLoadURL method to IClientAPI.
* * Some work in progress code: Inventory cache, start of inventory ↵MW2007-07-222-4/+14
| | | | | | | | | | | server/service, userprofile cache, inventory handling. (non of it is enabled yet (or at least it shouldn't be). * Fixed some of the problems with crossing regions when flying: you should no longer sink to ground level when crossing (should keep roughly your right height). Should no longer sometimes get sent back to the centre of the current region when attempting to border cross. But instead sometimes you will find you avatar stop at the edge of region and you will need to start moving again to retry the crossing (which should then work). This code is partly based on Babblefrog's issue #212 patch. [I think I have some ideas of how to solve the stopping at edges problem, just want to get the inventory code done first] * Capabilities code has now been moved to the OpenSim.Framework.Communications project as some of the caps code will be tightly tied to inventory/asset handling and it was causing a two way reference problem when it was in its own project/dll. This is a Big commit as I was going to keep my inventory work local until I had it in a working state, in case it brakes anything, but its getting harder to keep in sync with svn.
* changed to native line ending encodingSean Dague2007-07-164-436/+436

* Next time maybe I should check it still compiles before committing.MW2007-07-121-0/+1
