* Move from IP to hostname for seed caps on login, for gridmode and standalone.Homer Horwitz2008-12-111-2/+2
| | | | | | | All the other caps (except the initial one) are already sent with hostname instead of IP. NOTE: This changes gridserver and userserver

| | | | | | | | This patch adds the option of adding the email when you create a new user. This works in Gridmode as none Gridmode. This option is also added to RemoteAdminPlugin. With a new handler you can create a user with a email.

* Add persistence of active gestures. This needs an UGAIM update to work.Homer Horwitz2008-09-241-0/+30
| | | | | | | | | Active gestures are sent as part of the login-response. Added fetchActiveGestures to SQLite and MySQL; added an empty one for MSSQL and NHibernate. Using the empty ones won't cause errors, but doesn't provide persistence either, of course.

| | | | | | | | | * This patch aims to introduce look at direction persistence between logins. It won't be active until the second part of the patch is committed in about two weeks time. At this point, region servers that haven't upgraded past this revision may run into problems * This checkin upgrades the user database. As always, we recommend you have backups in case something goes wrong. * Many thanks to tyre for this patch.

* * Improve login failure handling.Justin Clarke Casey2008-09-071-2/+4
| | | | | | * Now it should properly inform the user and stop a login if a region server could not be contacted in order to expect a user (the last commit didn't actually quite work correctly)
* * This is the fabled LibOMV update with all of the libOMV types from JHurlimanTeravus Ovares2008-09-061-6/+6
| | | | | | | * This is a HUGE OMG update and will definitely have unknown side effects.. so this is really only for the strong hearted at this point. Regular people should let the dust settle. * This has been tested to work with most basic functions. However.. make sure you back up 'everything' before using this. It's that big! * Essentially we're back at square 1 in the testing phase.. so lets identify things that broke.
* * Fixed a bug that occurred if your home region wasn't logged in, in ↵Teravus Ovares2008-08-261-12/+30
| | | | | | | | standalone. It wouldn't let you in even if your destination region is online with a 'region x not found' message. * The purpose of the check was to ensure that your home region was sent to your client properly when you connected. However, the desired result is that if the home region is down, but the destination region is online, the user should still get in. * Changes: if the home region isn't available, set the message to the client so that the home region is the destination region.
* Mantis#904. Thank you kindly, Jonc for a patch that solves:Charles Krinke2008-08-211-3/+9
| | | | | | LocalLoginService does not send the last position coords in the login response. This patch fixes the issue.

* more work on the support for multiple inventory servers. MW2008-06-281-1/+1
| | | | | | | | | | The Login service should now read/create new inventory on the inventory server that is set in a users profile. Also added "Add-InventoryHost" console command to add a support for a new server to a region. So it would be good if someone could test this. Set up the grid as normal, but then also run extra inventory server on a different computer (well actually it just has to be on a different network hostname, so one using "http://localhost:8004" and one using "http://127.0.0.1:8005" should work) then you need to manually edit the user profile database to set the new servers url in a user's "userInventoryURI" field. Then on a region server, use the Add-InventoryHost to add the new server url (always include the full url, including http, but don't add a final /) Login with that account and see if the inventory works. Of course these needs to be made more user friendly.

* From: Dr Scofield <hud@zurich.ibm.com>Justin Clarke Casey2008-04-251-12/+60
| | | | | | | | | | | | | the patch below adds support for start_location = uri:region&x&y&z to OpenSim which allows us to provide -url secondlife:///region/X/Y/Z to the SecondLife client during start up --- which will take you directly to region "region" at position X, Y, Z. also, i did increase the default Z value from 70 to 128 as we otherwise have the problem that on some regions we'd end up inside a mountain instead of on top of it.

* * Start passing around a region server's http port in RegionInfo.Justin Clarke Casey2008-03-231-0/+4
| | | | | | | | | | | * This means that caps methods (editing scripts, poss map functions, etc) on non-home regions should now work with servers which are listening for http ports on a non default (9000) port. * If you are running a region server, this may only work properly once your grid server upgrades to this revision * PLEASE NOTE: This shouldn't cause inter-region problems if one end of the connection hasn't upgraded to this revision. However if it does, the instability will persist until the grid and region (and possibly all the region's neighbours) have upgraded to this revision. * This revision also adds extra login related messages, both for success and failure conditions
* Another poxy patch which consists mainly of logging changes (some already ↵Justin Clarke Casey2008-03-201-1/+2

* * Added the ability to type the partial name of a region in the start ↵Teravus Ovares2008-03-181-0/+2
| | | | | | | location box and go to that region if it's there. If no close match was found, it sends you home. This is tested on mySQL. There's untested code on grids that are based on sqlite and MSSQL. The SQL statements *should* be right, but your results may very. * Ex, if you want to go to Wright Plaza, you simply need to type Wright Plaza in the start location in the client when you log-in.
