* * Only allow logins on standalone when the sim has completed it's initial ↵Justin Clarke Casey2008-09-191-5/+4
| | | | | | | | | startup (script startup doesn't count here) * There was a small window where region logins were allowed before modules were loaded - avatars logins that hit this window could have caused bad things to happen. * A similar change will follow for grid mode sometime soon

| | | | | | | | | * This patch aims to introduce look at direction persistence between logins. It won't be active until the second part of the patch is committed in about two weeks time. At this point, region servers that haven't upgraded past this revision may run into problems * This checkin upgrades the user database. As always, we recommend you have backups in case something goes wrong. * Many thanks to tyre for this patch.
* * This is the fabled LibOMV update with all of the libOMV types from JHurlimanTeravus Ovares2008-09-061-17/+17
| | | | | | | * This is a HUGE OMG update and will definitely have unknown side effects.. so this is really only for the strong hearted at this point. Regular people should let the dust settle. * This has been tested to work with most basic functions. However.. make sure you back up 'everything' before using this. It's that big! * Essentially we're back at square 1 in the testing phase.. so lets identify things that broke.

| | | | | | | | track a packet and if it hasn't been acked within a set time, trigger a IClientAPI event, that the application/scene can handle. Currently only terrain packet tracking is finished, Tracking for initial Prim packets (first full update for a prim) is being worked on. Future improvements would be to make it a more generic packet tracker with callback delegates instead of events. Add a test event handler (which would fire after a minute if a terrain packet hadn't been acked) to scene to handle the OnUnackedTerrain event, which currently just resends the terrain patch. The idea of this packet tracking is for the region level application to be able to know if the client stack gave up on sending a packet.

* plumbing for multiple inventory servers. Mostly done on the region server side. MW2008-06-281-7/+65
| | | | | | TODO next is to make the login server read/write a users inventory from the correct server (the inventory url set in a userprofile) On the region side, although not tested with multiple servers it should work if that inventory url was set, and the inventory servers urls have been added to the CommunicationsManager, using CommunicationsManager.AddInventoryService(string hostUrl)

* Very partial Avatar Appearance (ie, clothes/body parts) "storage". In ↵MW2007-12-021-10/+6
| | | | | | | | standalone mode it will mean that when you log off and log back on ,as long as the region server hasn't been restarted , your avatar will start with wearing the clothes that it wore on log off. In grid mode its even more limited in that wearing/removing clothes/body parts are only stored in the region server instance you are one. so if you are in a different region to your login region (which are on different region server instances), and then change clothes, those changes won't be remembered. So as said, its very limited but is a small step towards having proper appearance persist. Just need to store this data out to a database.

| | | | | | | Have flattened the OpenSim.Framework project/namespace. The problem is that the namespace is still wrong as its "OpenSim.Framework" while the directory is "OpenSim\Framework\General" , so we need to decide if we change the directory or correct the namespace. Note this has lead to a big flat project, but I think a lot of the files we most likely don't even use any longer. And others belong in other projects/namespaces anyway.
